What we collect

There are no accounts on this site. Maps, charts, scenarios, and tools run in your browser using public data (USGS, NOAA CO-OPS, NDBC, Smithsonian GVP). Tool inputs are not sent to a Ring of Fire server as part of the tool logic.

Our host, Cloudflare Pages, may log standard request data (IP address, browser user agent, URL, time) for security and reliability. Live data requests go directly from your browser to the public data providers, which have their own privacy policies.

Advertising and cookies

Ring of Fire shows ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
